We chatted with Kaitlin, a Hip2Save reader and Shipt shopper, to get all the details about what it\u2019s like to shop for a living!

How can I apply?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Hop on over to Shipt.com<\/a> to find out more details about becoming a shopper and to apply. Note that if there is a position available in an area near you, they will contact you immediately to discuss further steps.<\/p>\n

Kaitlin says<\/strong>:<\/strong> You fill out an application and wait anywhere from a few hours to a few days to hear back about an interview. The interview is done through the web, they will ask you basic interview questions where you video yourself answering the questions and it\u2019s timed. <\/em><\/p>\n

I heard back a week later and I got the job, but I know it can take up to two or three weeks.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What is required and how is training?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Each Shipt shopper<\/a> must be at least 18 years of age, have a reliable vehicle manufactured in 1997 or newer, have valid car insurance, and possess a valid U.S. driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

Applicants must also have an insulated cooler bag, a working knowledge of groceries, the ability to lift 40+ pounds, and an iPhone (iOS 10 or newer) or Android (5.1 or newer). All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and are subject to a thorough background check before they begin shopping.<\/p>\n

Kaitlin\u2019s thoughts:<\/strong> Training is an optional slideshow course. It wasn\u2019t the most helpful. There are a ton of YouTube videos that take you along with a Shipt shopper.\u00a0 They go more into detail on how to be a great shopper and explain how to make the most profit out of Shipt. These videos were incredible and really helped me understand the whole system!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How\u2019s the pay?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Kaitlin explains:<\/strong> It really just depends on the day and the orders that are available. Orders normally range from $5-$40 dollars. Higher Price orders usually take longer and have way more items. Some days I had amazing tipers, and other days I\u2019d get nothing on top of the order price itself.<\/em><\/p>\n

I did Shipt on top of having other jobs as well so I didn\u2019t take as many orders per week, but it was nice to have that extra money and I think the time that it took me to earn the money was fair.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
